BIO
Currently residing in Boston, MA, Ian Seiferling is just a guy from the prairies who doesn't like talking about himself in the third person. Currently, and alongside his two co-founders, he is building Adaviv, a precision agriculture technology company that leverages computer vision, AI and software to help indoor and greenhouse farmers be more profitable by managing their crops and people better with plant-level data.
Ian graduated with a BSc. Honours degree in Biology from the University of Regina and later with a MSc. degree in Biology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. 6 years of studies wasn't enough, so he pursued and holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec, Canada. Until deciding he had endured enough microscope work for one lifetime, Ian focussed his studies and research in Quaternary and Paleo- Ecology and Botany. Though still interested and fascinated with how the past has shaped the present day biosphere, he now moved his research and future career objectives to the fields of landscape and conservation ecology, human - ecosystem interfaces and sustainability and urban ecology..
